I love infographics.
The infographic below is not the best I’ve ever seen. It did, however, make me stop and think for a moment, so it accomplished its mission. As I was looking at all the numbers associated with the activities happening in 60 seconds on the Internet, one of the numbers stuck out. It was the largest of all the numbers: 168 million emails are sent every 60 seconds.
It seems to me that the killer app is yet to come. It’s that app that fundamentally changes the way we interact with email. I’m looking forward to seeing how improvements in Mac Mail, especially the removal of redundant text in message strings. That will be a help, and a serious one, but it’s not the killer app. I sure hope someone out there is working on it. We need it.
