Anthropic released ten purpose-built financial services agents on top of Claude Opus 4.7, packaged as reference architectures with connectors into Moody's, Dun & Bradstreet, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ and others, plus full Microsoft 365 integration that lets Claude carry context across Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The big news here is the move from horizontal AI infrastructure to a vertical-ready go-to-market stack with named data partners, named workflows, and a PE-backed joint venture for mid-market distribution.
And... the market priced it immediately: FactSet fell as much as 8% and Morningstar, S&P Global, and Moody's all sold off, signaling that the analysis-layer margin of data aggregators is now contested by the model itself.
