There Are No “Age Appropriate” AI Toys For Children

As soon as it was possible to purchase one of the AI toys from Curio, oddly enough called Grok, I purchased one. The first one didn't work, so they sent me a second one.

I used it on stage in one of my presentations, and I said at the time and I'll say it again: if I have my way, my grandchildren will never have one of these. Children don't need artificial intelligence in their toys. They use their imagination. That's the entire point.

For the record, both of the plush AI-enabled toys ended up in the trash.
