Because AI Can Outsmart Traditional CAPTCHAs

Sometimes I read the title to an article and I think immediately, "Is this a serious question?" The web doesn't belong to humans any longer. We're there, but we're no longer the dominant force. AI is.

That shift changes the character of the internet. For years, the web was messy but fundamentally human. People created content for other people. Now, much of the activity online is machine-to-machine. Bots scrape, summarize, repost, and generate content for other bots to consume. Humans are still there, but more as the raw material than the primary participants.

Verification systems were designed to keep bots out so humans could interact safely with each other. Now the web is beginning to revolve around proving we're human. Every CAPTCHA and identity check quietly acknowledges that the internet is no longer optimized for us.

With the number of AI chatbots on the rise, the need for more security verification across the internet is increasing as well.
