Video Hosting Sites

Posted by Jeff Turner on Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

There are almost as many video hosting sites as there are social networks. Each site has it’s own unique qualities and benefits. Here are a few more places I’ve posted videos.

Do you have a favorite for hosting real estate listing videos?

Monika, yes. I think a Vimeo Pro account is the best of the general market sites. I also think Vidlisting does a great job of encoding and distributing to video portals. And for videos under 90 seconds, I really like they way Flickr videos look when embedded in posts.

Thanks Jeff. I have Vimeo…not sure if it’s a Pro account. I’ll take a look at Vidlisting…never heard of that one.
See you in Orlando.

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for posting a list of non-youtube video hosting sites. I still have to get over my fear of vlogging but from a viewing standpoint, I like Vimeo as well.

Awesome. I did not know a pro acct at Vimeo would allow RE video. They for sure have the best quality video online. IMHO. They dumped all my videos last year but never told me they allowed a pro acct and I never asked.

Steve, VIMEO actually does NOT allow real estate listing videos in a pro account. That comment was written before they started deleting all real estate video.
