Too Many Social Networks

Posted by Jeff Turner on Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

You can only participate proactively and effectively in a small number of social networks, two or three at best. At least that’s my personal opinion. You can, of course, set up a virtual presence anywhere and everywhere. But should you? That’s a different question entirely. We could probably argue all day about the relative value of the time it takes to set up a profile if you’re not going to connect with anyone in that specific network.

Disclaimer: I sign up for social networks I know I will never ever use, just so I can see for myself how they’ve crafted their user experience and take a closer peak at their unique selling proposition. So my presence on any social network is not an endorsement in and of itself.

Thank you for your lists of social media sites. I sign up to the sites to try them out. Also, I want to reserve my user name.

Love RealEstateShows.com!

Okay Jeff – Holy Cow! How the heck do you do it? I mean, look at all these social networks?!

Anyway, I’m intrigued by your blog. Prett dang cool if you ask me. Another good example of how to “get to work” on the internet.

Thanks.

Jeff
